This favors models who are smaller sized, and often forces those who are not to take drastic measures - including becoming anorexic or eating cotton balls in an attempt to ease their hunger.

The Space Age— culminated by Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969— had a major influence on 60s fashion. Just look at Pierre Cardin, Paco Rabanne’s chainmail dresses, and Jane Fonda in the 1968 film Barbarella for proof. This color gets its own slide for being one of the universally least flattering shades of them all — and yet it was inexplicably popular among those in the mod subculture throughout the mid- to late-1960s. Twiggy often incorporated men-inspired clothes into her wardrobe. She also introduced miniskirts with bare legs or fishnet tights and many more. Her style is a true inspiration even today.
